Situated on the Southern point of the Zanzibar Island, Kizimkazi fishing village is the home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins, which are sighted following a short boat trip from the village. Kizimkazi would be just another sleepy fishing village if it were not for the local dolphins that frolic offshore becoming a major tourist. The main attraction being able to swim close to the dolphin, actually it is swimming with the Dolphin. Being very social themselves, if you are luck you can even get to play with them. Clients are adviced to bring their swimming costume, waterproof sandals for boarding the dhow, sunscreen, towel and spare T-shirt for snorkeling.

1 Hour: Transfer to Kizimkazi Village

This morning we woke up before the golden sunrise, pick up at your hotel in Stone Town, head to Kizimkazi village in the south-western corner of the island. The coast around here has several caves that are favourite dolphin calving grounds, and some bottlenose and Humpback dolphins have taken up permanent residence.

4-5 Hours: Kizimkazi Dolphin Tour

More over you will have a brief talk concerning the characteristics of different types of dolphins found in Zanzibar. Before proceeding to dolphin to the dolphin location for searching with 90% chance to see the school of friendly Dolphins. Kizimkazi would be just another sleepy fishing village if it were not for the local dolphins that frolic offshore becoming a major tourist.
