1-2 Hours: Transfer to Kikuletwa Hot Springs
We will pick you at your hotel and drive to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, on a clear day enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro can be seen from the main road. After leaving the main road, the drive will continue through gorgeous African country side past small villages, bush land, dry riverbeds, as well as baobab and acacia trees.
Full Day: Chemka Hot Springs adventure
After 30 min of driving, green sprawling fig trees fed by underground springs, will appear out of nowhere in this dry landscape, indicating Kikuletwa Hot Springs are within reach. Kikuletwa Hotsprings locally known as Maji Moto is crystal-clear, turquoise paradisiac oasis amidst the Tanzanian savannah surrounded by palm trees and winding roots offer a picturesque spot. Chemka hot springs actually rather big and over 6 meters deep, the only place in Tanzania where the groundwater actively interacted with geothermal sources, forming a number of small lakes with warm, never-stagnating water. You can have as much fun or relaxation as your heart desires and your mind and body needs. The best way to enter the Kikuletwa Hot Springs is via this rope. Hold it tight and at the end of your swing, let go. Gravity will take over and gently lower you into the warm azure waters that are so clear you can see the bottom of the pools or just relax in the shade of the trees.
1-2 Hours: Transfer to Arusha City
Late afternoon leave the park to head back to your accommodation in Arusha City or Moshi Town.
